Nothing we build matters more than the safety of the young people in our care.
Our commitments
- Parent partnership: no one under 18 participates without a verified parent/guardian consent, and parents stay informed throughout.
- Mentor screening: identity verification, references, and background screening for every mentor — before any introduction to a mentee.
- Clear boundaries: a written code of conduct for mentors, mentees, and families, covering communication channels, meeting expectations, and reporting.
- Training: safeguarding awareness is required for mentors and staff working with minors.
- Reporting: any safety concern can be reported through our contact form (choose "Safety concern") and is prioritized and handled promptly.
- No private secrecy: program communication involving minors follows transparent, documented channels — never hidden one-to-one contact outside the program's view.
What we ask of families
Stay involved. Ask your child about their mentoring experience. Reach out to us with any question or concern, however small — we'd rather hear from you early.
Continuous improvement
Our full safeguarding policy is being finalized with expert review before mentoring phases begin. This page will be updated as it is adopted, and families will always see the current version before participating.
